IN 2011, 191 FAMILIES RECEIVED EMERGENCY ASSISTANCE
MadCAAP offers emergency assistance with utilities, prescription medications, rent and groceries to our clients on a "once a year" basis. Clients present proof of income along with their monthly bills to be reviewed by a MadCAAP representative prior to receiving assistance. Vouchers are issued to the appropriate source for help with these needs.
Often the MadCAAP client that receives emergency assistance is in desperate need to feed their children, keep their utilities on during extreme weather or to pay rent to avoid eviction.
